About 7 years ago I became an English teacher, which gave me skills to teach Croatian language as well. I have become very proficient in teaching through Skype, which is my favorite way to teach. I am a professional language teacher. I studied German and Croatian at the University of Zagreb. At the moment I work as a teacher in an elementary school. I teach students who are from 6 to 14 years old. But I also teach teenagers and adults from basic to advanced levels. I've worked in several foreign language school. I like to learn and to teach foreign languages. It's fun and easy. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. I am able to adapt my lessons for you needs. I always try to make my teaching method enjoyable and the interesting for you, because I think that the best way to learn a language is to have fun with it!

I love talking to other people, especially in English because I think it's a beautiful language and people from all around the world know English, so I think it is important for everyone to have at least some grasp of the English language. At levels A1-B1 I prepare my own materials, however upon your request we can use official learning books. If you have a preferred literature, I can incorporate it in the lessons as well. At levels B2 + I can give more in-depth explanations about meanings of various language constructions that go beyond the official schoolbook teachings. I mostly taught adult students at levels A1-A2, however I welcome students of all levels and ages. If you are of Croatian ancestry, we can discuss cultural and historical topics that might be of interest.

I have a neutral and clear accent. You will have no problem following my words and I can be of great help in cracking pronunciation! We will also check right from the start that the speed of conversation suits your preferences. I am happy to work with students on all levels and I will customise my lessons according to your needs. You are of course welcome to provide your material as well. I am hoping you will perceive me as a friendly and supportive teacher from our very first session and that you will feel a natural flow of communication between equally motivated participants. I will do my best to recognise and support your efforts and to build new knowledge from there.

While I was helping my friends learn other languages and participated in language exchanges I have discovered it brings me great joy to help someone learn a language. So, I've started to teach to help even more people. Since then I've had experience teaching children and adults with levels between A1-C2. I've taught a lot and learned a lot from my students.

I teach Croatian on Italki from 2013th. This is my only teaching experience. I love helping others to learn my language. Croatian language and literature were always my favorite subject at school. I always try to use my language correctly, and to find out the correct usage of some words, when I am not sure. My profession is a physical education teacher, but I never had an opportunity to work in that field. I just led Pilates classes a few hours per week.

I have many years of teaching experience in various language centers, foreign language schools and cultural institutions, where I worked with different age groups, including pre-school children, elementary and high school students and adults, which has contributed to my ability to adapt my teaching skills to students. I strongly believe that the foreign language knowledge, including both theoretical and practical use, has to be upgraded frequently I am fun but hardworking teacher and I will find all the strenghts in students that could potentially help in studyings.

I love teaching and I love making someone fall in love with a language :) that' s the best feeling in the world because that means that I'm good at what I do- teaching. I'm patient as a teacher because I learned languages too, so I'm familiar with all the trouble students get through while studying a new language :)

I can help you learn basics of German, English or Croatian language; teach you commonly used expressions, conversational phrases, or just help you with your school lessons or homework. You can also select a topic you are interested in, and I can prepare it for our next language session so you can practice speaking, learn grammar rules, or whatever you think you want to improve.

Throughout my working experience as a language teacher one of the important achievements was the fact that I was the founder of Catalan language course and its promoter in the cultural centre I worked for where my activity was related to the following points: ▪ Introduction to grammar and practical vocabulary necessary for fundamental communication skills ▪ Instill concepts of both Spanish and Catalan languages by introducing interactive activities ▪ Use structural methods and materials appropriate for instruction success ▪ Assess student accomplishments and work with them on weak areas

I don't believe there is only one proper way of teaching and learning so my teaching is adaptive and imaginative. I encourage critical thinking in my classroom and create a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable to open up and practice their language skills. I believe that learning a language should be a fun and enjoyable adventure and an opportunity to learn not only different languages but also different cultures and traditions.
