My name’s Kasia. I’m a Polish native speaker living in Poland. I’m in love with learning languages and I’m planning to be a translator. That’s why I’ve chosen to study applied linguistics at the University of Warsaw. Next to Polish and English, I also speak basic Italian and I’m learning Arabic. I’m really into art, especially music and literature. I enjoy playing the violin and the guitar in my free time.

My linguistic knowledge gained at the university might be quite useful to you :p It enables me to provide you with some pronunciation tips, an accurate explanation of grammar rules and exceptions, etc. Besides that, I know from my own experience how tedious learning a language can be. That’s why I’m constantly looking for different (more vibrant than rote learning) ways to learn the vocabulary. I’d be happy to share them and try them out with you during our lessons.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

Linguists agree that immersing in a certain culture is one of the best ways to acquire a language. Trying to make my students familiar with Polish culture and a bit of Polish history, I prepare exercises based on extracts of iconic Polish books, poems, songs, and popular speeches. That’s not all, of course. My lessons include a variety of grammar exercises, reading (understanding and pronunciation), conversation (everyday conversation experience), and short writing assignments that I will ask you to do. Students of all levels (A1-C1) are welcome.

Kasia is very friendly and she is thinking out of the box. My situation is different as I am not learning Polish, but refreshing my mother tongue. Kasia did, however, think with me how she can best adopt the lessons to fit my level and how we can challenge me.
