In my free time, I am a writer, an artist, a huge sci-fi fan, and a nature-lover. I am passionate about psychology, history, the environment, health, science, and of course, languages. If the weather is nice, I’m outside in the mountains or at the beach.
To be a better teacher, I think that it’s very important that I understand the grammar, structure, and nuances of other languages. I am advanced in Japanese, intermediate in Spanish (and therefore have some understanding of Italian and Portuguese), and a beginner in Russian.
I have loved learning languages my whole life. I hope to be able to make the language learning process enjoyable for you!
Ich als Lehrkraft
I have been a teacher for six years and have worked with university, high school, and elementary students, as well as working professionals and adults. I love working with students to help them get ready for university or college, or for a new career opportunity. Whether that be preparing for a test like IELTS or TOEFL, or getting ready for an interview, I am here for you to make sure that you will not only succeed, but you will excel.
I care deeply for my students and everyone I get to meet here. I am passionate and motivated to help others achieve their goals and make their dreams a reality.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
Really pushing my students to learn more and work harder is something I am very passionate about, and therefore it is important that I know how much homework you are comfortable with each lesson so that I don’t give you too much, or too little, to do outside of class. Homework is where we can practice and solidify skills we worked on during class, and where you can be creative and play around with the language.
Because I want our class time to be used as productively as possible, any exercise or written assignment will be done out of class so that in class we are working together, not independently.
I want your time to be utilized and be as meaningful as possible!
