As a polyglot linguist (and language nerd) with extensive work experience in education and in other fields of the service sector, I know both how it is to learn a language and what it takes to teach one. So far, I have lived in five different countries in which I have worked and made friends with people belonging to a much wider variety of cultures. All these circumstances helped me better understand the others, their needs, and their ways. Having worked as a tourist guide for years, I have first-hand experience in getting along with people from everywhere and in motivating them. Take a trial lesson for a sample of learning a foreign language with me.

Ich als Lehrkraft

I started to occasionally work as a teacher of Romanian and of English while studying for a master’s degree in Romania. However, my career in education took off in France upon my second graduation there. Even though I worked for six years in several high-schools, I don’t recognize myself today in the image of a typical high-school teacher. For efficiency’s sake, I strive to be a good facilitator. My role is neither to point out every mistake you make (unless you want me to) nor to become your next source of nightmares (even if you want me to) but to help you find the easiest and most productive way for you to learn a foreign language.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

My lessons are tailored for every student. Their structure depends on every student’s needs, purposes, personality & profile. During our first meeting, I will assess your knowledge of the language that you wish to learn, and your motivation. We'll see together which are the targets that you want to reach and, in order to properly schedule your work, we'll decide which form of training suits you best. For subsequent stages of learning, I'll suggest / provide materials adapted to your language level. During our meetings, we'll check your progress, find methods to overcome difficulties (with a focus on understanding why & how the other language is different) and select your next challenges.
