I have 5 years of experience in teaching modern and ancient Greek to children and adults of various levels, from absolute beginners to advanced students. In my lessons, we will practice all aspects of linguistic competence, namely writing, speaking, listening, and reading.
My goal while teaching is to maintain your enthusiasm and curiosity during this learning journey. I can guarantee that it’s going to be fun and that you will see results in the first months of our lessons.

• If you are a beginner, I will get you step-by-step on the path to fluency!
• If you are already an intermediate or advanced speaker, we can practice mostly speaking and writing.
• If your goal is to learn ancient Greek, I can construct lessons that are particular to your interests, and teach you the grammar and syntax of the language by focusing on either Classical, Byzantine or Biblical Greek.
• If your goal is to enhance your knowledge of Ancient Greek, I offer close-reading classes on any ancient writer of your choice.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Thanks for an amazing class! I really enjoyed our first session. Sofia is a very kind and competent teacher. After assessing my goals she provided me with a bunch of interesting and extremely helpful resources that were appropriate for my level. I already learned so much during this first class.
