I was born in Leicester but grew up in South-West England, in the countryside just north of Bristol. I've spent time travelling in Europe and South-East Asia and have also lived in Manchester and Barcelona. I'm vegetarian and love the natural world; I enjoy hiking, running, yoga and cooking. I am interested in sustainability and permaculture practises and have a family project developing a house in Southern Italy. I love experiencing different things, going on adventures and meeting new people - I hope to meet you soon!

Ich als Lehrkraft

I am a native English speaker and chose to study English Language at college, receiving an A-level qualification. In 2016 I volunteered at a community centre for children in rural Cambodia, where I helped with some English classes - this inspired an interest in community work and teaching. From September 2019 - March 2020 I taught English in a private language school in Barcelona. I have experience teaching adults and children of all abilities, from complete beginner to advanced. I have been tutoring on italki since April this year.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

My lessons are mainly conversational but I can also offer exercises to target specific grammar points and test your oral agility. I can teach you new language devices that we can practise together and help you with things you might be struggling with, like pronunciation or grammar. I can help with CV/interview preparation, correct your mistakes and give you homework activities to practise your listening, reading and writing skills. I am patient, relaxed and I enjoy the learning process - this is all reflected in my lessons and teaching style. I hope to create a friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable enough to take risks, make mistakes and learn in a way that suits you!

Thank you so much for your time. The lesson with you has become my new weekly routine. I like the balance of the lesson for the last two times: conversation, grammar/words, homework. I know I still need a lot of time to communicate with you more easily and precisely still I feel a bit comfortable compared to the very first lesson. Look forward to the next lesson!
