Selamlar! My name is Deniz and I am 26 years old. I have a passion for languages and I love helping people improve their abilities. I speak English and Turkish fluently and I also speak Persian, Arabic, Spanish and a little bit of French. I have a master's degree in comparative politics and I am always eager to talk about politics, history, culture, traveling, music, art, and whatever you would like. I currently live in the United States, but I have also lived in Turkey, Egypt, and the United Kingdom.

I have taught both English and Turkish in formal and informal settings. For English I have a book for beginners and can help you improve your conversational skills and reading skills by introducing new vocabulary and assisting you with pronunciation.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

As a teacher, I will focus on any aspect of the language that you prefer. I think that the best ways to improve is increasing your exposure even when you are outside of "class" by watching films, TV series, reading books and newspaper articles, and listening to music. I have taught classes of up to ten students in the past and have moderated speaking clubs in English and Turkish when I was living in Turkey. I will assign you homework, if your schedule permits, but my philosophy about language learning is that classes are only one part of the journey!

I take advanced conversation lessons from Deniz on weekly basis, and I think it really helps me. I explained to him my goals and my style, and he tailored our classes accordingly. We talk about all kinds of topics, the class is never boring. I am glad that our lessons are way beyond those dull "What kind of music do you like?" type of conversations. Deniz has interesting ideas, I like how we are engaging in real discussions. Deniz'den ders almayı düşünen Türkçe konuşan arkadaşlar kesinlikle almalı. Başta Türk biriyle İngilizce konuşmak garip hissettirebilir diye düşünmüştüm ama dersin ilk on dakikasında gitti bu düşünce, eksisinden çok daha fazla artısı olduğunu düşünüyorum. Nasıl ifade edebileceğimi bilmediğim şeyleri soruyorum öğreniyorum, kesinlikle öneririm.
