I was born in Ukraine. After leaving school, I decided to become a teacher. So, I entered the pedagogical institute. I learned a lot about different teaching methods and techniques. Than I worked at school, thus having the opportunity to put in practice the newly-learned material. Now I teach Russian and English. Languages have always fascinated me. When the possibility to learn new language comes, I just grab it. I really enjoy learning and teaching languages and are ready to share my experience with others.

Ich als Lehrkraft

I prefer to use the communicative method as the main method in my classes. What is more, I constantly encourage my students to continue practising language outside our classes, looking for opportunities to interact with the language environment through speaking, reading, as well as independently enrich their vocabulary through self-study programs. I can find the individual approach to everyone depending on their goals and needs.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

In my classes I constantly try to create situations for my students in which they would learn to cooperate and interact the way the individuals in society do. I teach my students to express their thoughts in foreign language using culturally accepted speaking patterns. Various visual aids (video, audio, illustrations), situational monologues and dialogues, help me to make learning process interesting, lively and useful for students.

What a wonderful teacher! Svetlana is really good at put at ease her students! She presented me a lot of interactive activities and this helped me a lot with focusing throughout the whole lesson. Acually, I already feel more confident!
