Hello! Merhaba! I am a nature-oriented person and live cuddled between the indigenous forest and the ocean in South Africa. I offer professional lessons focused on you as a student with specialised methods towards your learning. After growing up in Turkey I continued my education in the US and finally graduated in Cape Town. Travelling the world inspired me to create a life for myself focused on individual freedom and academic freedom in learning and I put these values above all else with my students in our lessons.

I am a tutor who values, above all, the dedication and motivation the student presents during our lessons. I provide a professional yet friendly relationship to my students where you are able to reach out to me to practice the language or ask questions whenever you want. I also am very patient and caring with my students, I help them balance language learning and their life outside of language learning, to create a mutually beneficial balance.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

My lessons are very specialised towards the student, their language level and their ways of learning. Every student has a different method of learning they prefer, and as a teacher it is my promise to find out the ways in which each student will perform their best. For example two students will receive different example sentences on the grammar that we learned the same day depending on their job or age, or interests. This helps the students relate to the material and have more references to it in their daily lives rather than a standardised method of the same non-relatable knowledge.

I'd definitely recommend Ilkin to anyone looking for a professional teacher of Turkish with a personalized approach and aimed at results. She's considerate, result-oriented, smart and comfortable to study with. I like that our lessons are structured and cover all aspects: speaking, reading, writing, listening, vocabulary. Also, I feel the progress I'm making with each new lesson.
