I take notes and correct on grammar and pronunciation as we go. Most of all, I just like to have a conversation about topics we enjoy. I make sure that the students gets plenty of listening time - understanding what I am saying, and also plenty of speaking time - so they can perfect their speech.
In addition to conversations, I enjoy studying songs, news articles, and media with students. Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My lessons are natural and free flowing conversation. I will never let the conversation go silent. Your time is important.
If the student allows me, I like to focus on themes such as "speaking about the past," "telling stories," "applying for a job" and we can have the entire lesson with this goal in mind.
