Ciao! My name is Andrea and I am a native Italian from Rome. I am a talkative person, I love my job and I love to meet new people from all over the world. I love to learn new cultures. I was born in the south of Italy, Calabria, where my mother was born, and my father is from Naples. This means that I feel a strong connection with the southern Italian culture. I lived almost my entire life in the beautiful Rome, but I also lived abroad in Los Angeles and London for several years in the past. Abroad I started to give individual and group Italian lessons to foreigners. I have been teaching Italian to foreigners for many years now (since 2013).

I am a professional native Italian teacher with years of Italian language teaching experience, graduated from University of Rome, La Sapienza University in 2008. I started to work as a freelancer teacher abroad in London and LA. Today I am teaching mostly online, I’ve been working with the most popular websites like Italki. I teach all ages and all levels. I teach children, students at school and university, professionals working in big companies, artists and even foreign teachers. My students are from: US, UK, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Europe, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Malasia, Japan, Russia, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Middle East, South of Asia and more.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I always try to personalize the lesson based on the student's needs. If the student needs to know more grammar I start my lessons teaching more rules, following a Structural approach: this means that I would start teaching the language as a complex of grammatical rules which are to be learned one at a time in a set order. Along with that it is possible to do some grammar translations to and from the target language and to practice some Audio - Lingual method. Only after all this I push the student towards a Direct method, that means that it is possible only to use the target language. Learning a new foreign language is a complex dynamic personal process.
