I have always had a passion for languages and teaching due to my teenage experiences and travels later in life. I have a few years of experience teaching Spanish at a University level, which is where I learned about all the opportunities that online teaching can give to students. I currently work in Spain as an English teacher in an elementary school, so I have a wide range of teaching experiences. Finally, my master's program emphasized the importance of social justice within pedagogy, so I incorporate relevant cultural themes in my lessons. Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
What's most notable about my teaching style is its flexibility. I want to know why my sudents want to learn and what their interests are so that I can incorporate their motivations into my lessons. I find this to be the most effective way to get students actively participating and to maintain their motivation. This was lesson 50 with Kevin. I appreciate the high level of preparation he brings to each lesson and also his creativity. He is infinitely patient with my mistakes and works with me to fix them in a way I can understand and (hopefully!) correct for the future. The lesson structure is ideal for adult learning, and the mini culture discussions have definitely made me want to travel to Spain. I also appreciate his knowledge of pronunciation differences in different parts of the Spanish-speaking world. He is definitely not just teaching me "Spain Spanish." I highly recommend him for anyone who needs a structured, knowledgable teacher with patience and a great sense of humor.
