I am a highly experienced ESL teacher having spent more than 15 years in this field, teaching a variety of students from different age groups, ability levels and educational backgrounds. I have also helped students work towards a diverse selection of goals, from improving general English conversation skills to preparing for their IELTS exam. Since the beginning of my teaching career in 2005, I have worked in, both government and private schools, universities and private language institutions. In 2014, I began making the transition to online teaching which now makes up for the majority of my working week. These positions have equipped me with the necessary skills.

As a teacher, I enter each classroom with a rich experience allowing me to identify both a student's strengths and weaknesses. I am flexible and approachable, and I make a concerted effort to help ease any tensions a student may be feeling towards learning a new language or attempting to pass a test. I am a great believer that the learning experience should be a pleasurable one, and that people perform best in the classroom when they are enjoying the process. I am British and speak the English language with a very neutral accent which makes me easy to understand. I am also very familiar with the IELTS test, having successfully coached many students from around the world to reach their goal.

I work hard to tailor my classes to suit the needs of the student in front of me. Whether working with a complete beginner, who is just trying to master the basics or an advanced learner who is preparing for their IELTS test, I can select material that will make the most out of our time. I believe in a student-centred and natural approach to teaching. This means that I work hard to ensure my classes are a two-way experience with a flexible lesson plan.
