Since finishing my postgrad studies fifteen years ago, I have taught English both in South-East Asia and in England. Over time, I have come to focus on adult education, and in particular, on teaching lower intermediate to advanced level students. Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I have two main methods of teaching. One is through guided conversation, where we can have a discussion on a subject chosen by you, and which is designed to draw out your opinions and to expand your debating and reasoning skills. Another method is through a more structured approach, with themed units involving vocab and grammar exercises. Either way, our sessions together are designed to be both nurturing and instructive, with as much value placed on growing confidence as on gathering knowledge. The most interesting lesson on Itaki ever! I lost count on how many lessons I had with Charlotte: everytime I learn something new and I stringly feel that my English is improving. It's easy to study with a teacher committed,intelligent and openminded!

Charlotte is an excellent teacher, what I enjoy most about Charlotte's lessons is that she always comes to the lesson prepared to work on specific subjects and has exercises that really help in understanding the topic we are working on.

Charlotte and I have had a wonderful conversation about John Donne's poetry and some cultural and religious differences in Christianity. I'm happy to have found a person with whom it's possible to discuss such things. Thank you very much, Charlotte! It's been really inspiring!
