Nina is the best Mandarin teacher on Italki, period. She has all the ingredients: Patient when you're struggling to find a word or a phrase, always curious and interested in what you have to say (even if it's barely understandable), extraordinarily flexible with hours and scheduling and always open to new ideas on how to change up our classes. Add to that a great ability to explain tricky concepts and come up with examples on the fly, and you hopefully see that you need to look no further :)

I had a terrific lesson with Nina! I learned how to describe some of a person’s physical characteristics in Chinese. Nina includes a substantial amount of practice in her lessons which helps me greatly. Learning Chinese with her has been a treat!

I’ve been a bit distracted lately and didn’t feel totally prepared for today’s lesson, but Nina, patient as always, pulled me through! Thank you, Nina!

Nina sensei is a fantastic teacher! I'll admit, at first I was worried about taking lessons online rather than with someone in person, but working with Nina was definitely the best decision I've made in my language learning journey. She is super organized, she knows how to help you remember what you've learned, and makes even the boring aspects of language learning fun! She always motivates me to learn more and I’m always thinking about my next class with her. Honestly, I cannot applaud her skills enough! Give her a shot and I’m sure you won’t regret it! Going over homework with Nina is always very helpful since I can learn from any mistakes I may have made, and she is always kind and patient when explaining the proper Grammer.

Another fantastic lesson with Nina! I'm excited to be moving on to a new chapter!
