I have been teaching ESL for several years and provide topics to stimulate conversation. My style is informal. I expect that most English learners in my classes know the basic English grammar rules so my focus is to enable non-native speakers to become more comfortable using the language in a practical way. We discuss a wide variety of topics and I am willing to learn with students about any subject, from nature to tech, food, travel, anything of interest that helps the English learner to become more comfortable. During our conversations, I gently remind students of proper grammar usage, encourage use of new vocabulary, and answer questions about the best way to communicate in English.
