Let’s cut to the chase: If you’re looking for immersive-type learning, or Japanese conversation practice, we both know I’m not the teacher you’re looking for. However, if you're looking for guided learning, there are several things I can offer learners of all levels which I believe the average native Japanese conversation partner cannot (see below):

Beginner: - As a certified instructor of Japanese at the college level who also learned the language from the ground up, I can explain Japanese grammar and its complicated writing system clearly. - As an experienced language learner, I can set you up on the path to success in your Japanese journey by providing you with a personalized plan, resources, and strategies to most effectively achieve your goals with the language. Intermediate: - Having spent a lot of time studying the Japanese pitch/intonation system, I can help you work on your accent so you can feel more confident about your Japanese. - I can help you start to dig into reading real Japanese texts (articles, short stories).

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

Advanced: - I can teach the fundamentals of classical Japanese, as well as provide a structured approach to learning the various styles of pre-war written Japanese, for those interested in literature. This would also entail examining real pre-war (~1885-1945) and pre-modern (~pre-1885) texts in the original to give you a sense of what it’s like to read real classics (I suspect there are probably very few, if any other Italki teachers who can offer this, including native teachers)

Amazing teacher. Perfect Portuguese accent. Daniel taught me about pronunciation in Portuguese. I did an excellent job. I definitely recommend him to others students here who want to learn. See you next session!!!
