My name is Erin, and I am originally from San Diego, California. I have been teaching English for the last 9 years, and I absolutely love it. Besides teaching, I also love traveling and learning about different people and cultures around the world. So far I have traveled to 37 different countries, but I still have many more to go. My hobbies are learning new languages, photography, listening to music, watching movies, salsa dancing, and cooking. Although I grew up in America, I have spent the last 10 years living abroad in Italy, China, Japan, and now Thailand. I'm currently working on earning my master's in Education while teaching Global Perspectives to middle school students in Bangkok.Ich als Lehrkraft
Teaching is truly one of my biggest passions in life. I really enjoy helping my students meet their learning goals and seeing them succeed. I am experienced in teaching beginners, intermediate, and also advanced students from ages 5-76. Over the last 9 years, I've taught at elementary and junior high schools, private language schools, and universities. My experience includes but is not limited to the Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages (Kanda Gaigo Gakuin) and NYU's Tokyo campus.

Learning on Italki has given me a lot of great examples of how to create fun and engaging lessons. I like to use at least 2-3 different learning platforms or support materials to help keep lessons interesting. In general, I try to maintain an easy-going and relaxed teaching style to help you feel comfortable when making mistakes. You should never feel bad about making mistakes because these are the moments when we learn in life. However, if you prefer the lessons to have a stricter/more corrective tone, I can easily adjust to that as well. It feels really good to have classes again. I couldn't take classes for almost 2 weeks and I missed Erin and my classes a lot!. She is perfect as a teacher, you will never feel bored in classes because she always has plenty of topics to talk about. Thank Erin for you always amaizing classes.

I love how teacher Erin is very flexible, i told her my goals on our first meeting, and now she challenges me with stimulating questions, questions that are pretty hard to answer hehe
