I consider myself an empathetic and patient person, but above all, eager to teach my two native languages. I have the experience of having taught subjects in which students needed reinforcement, currently but especially in my school days. I have also taught Catalan and Spanish to adults who were introducing themselves to the language and to those who want to improve it. Over time, I have been improving my teaching in classes, being able to adapt to the level and needs of each student.

I grew up speaking both English and Spanish, and since I was little my friends and colleagues have asked me to help them with either language. Now, I have been teaching languages formally for over 2 years and I worked as a volunteer language teacher in Morocco. I have a TEFL certificate and I teach students of all ages and all levels. Para comprender, necesitás tanto de la práctica, como del ejercicio de la conversación. Creo que de compartir nuestras cotidianidades podemos trabajar de una manera más didáctica y divertida. Me gusta pensar la clase en función de los objetivos e intereses de la persona que estudia. Busco investigar sobre las temáticas que te resulten relevantes y así generar un espacio de conversación y debate donde te sientas libre y cómodo. La idea es que puedas cometer errores y también divertirte. Entiendo las necesidades de cada estudiante como únicas, por eso pretendo adaptarme a cada ritmo particular.

Thanks to my friend I've been giving language lessons to people who wants to learn about the language. I focus on helping my students developing their fluency and I'm specialized in teaching beginners. With intermediate and advance students I focus on helping them improve their fluency through conversations about different topics. During the classes the topics that we chose the most are those that help the students improve specific vocabulary or specific grammar points that the students need to improve. I use different presentations and activities to have a structure during the classes but I focus on making the student speak a lot.

I'm a very patient teacher who likes to motivate the students in a way they use the motivation and discipline as a key in order to be successful with Spanish. My style of teaching is relaxed and pretty informal since my approach is natural and mostly conversational. I will help you to improve. I have experience teaching students from with many different cultural backgrounds and learning styles. My schedule is open throughout the day and students can choose the class times that best suit them. I put all of my energy and enthusiasm into teaching my students. I have a background in Translation and Philology at the University of Granada. I taught Spanish as a second language in the States for seven years and also in Spain up to present. I have 20 years of teaching experience (since 1998) and I started teaching online in 2017. While I was in the United States teaching Spanish I also studied a Master’s Degree in the Teaching of Foreign Language and Literatures, and a Ph D in Applied Linguistics in the Acquisition of Spanish as a Second Language. I have several papers published on the topic of the pedagogy of Spanish and I have been granted four Teaching Excellence Awards based on students' evaluations and performance.

Como profesor soy una persona paciente, tranquila y que me encanta ayudar. El 90% de mis alumnos llevan conmigo más de 2 años y con todos me siento muy a gusto. Con todos siento ganas de hacer clases porque la verdad es que nos lo pasamos bien, hablamos de nuestras cosas y veo que les ayudo a mejorar. Con algunos de ellos incluso hemos hecho una amistad y han venido a verme a Zaragoza, cosa que me da mucha alegría, incluso se han quedado en mi casa. Como me gusta tanto dar clases de español a veces no siento que sea un trabajo estar enseñando. Para que los alumnos se sientan bien conmigo simplemente soy yo mismo, así soy en vida cotidiana y mis alumnos me lo devuelven con motivación.

I have been teaching Japanese and Spanish for many years. I can teach Japanese in Spanish and English. I have learned English and Spanish so I do understand how difficult to learn a new language is. But at the same time I do believe how fun to learn new language is! so I always make my students have fun while learning Japanese, Yo he enseñado japonés a varios hispanos en español incluso a mi esposa hispana, y ahora ella sabe comunicarse con mi familia de Japón en japonés!! Yo he aprendido español e ingles por eso entiendo cuan difícil es aprender un nuevo idioma. Pero al mismo tiempo yo entiendo cuan interesante es aprender un nuevo idioma!
