I'm teaching since 2015, and actually I'm working as an English teacher in a private University. I love teaching. My classes will be adapted to your necessities, that's why I'd like to know the level of the language of each student, to prepare a class that will cover all your needs.

I first began teaching conversational English when Iived in Barcelona, I found it to be really rewarding and fun. On returning to the UK and completing my degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies I began to work as a tutor of Spanish. I now have many years of experience of teaching Spanish and have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds and levels, I have taught exam preparation for GCSE and AS/A level, business Spanish, conversational Spanish and have worked in groups, one-to-one and online.

Throughout my working experience as a language teacher one of the important achievements was the fact that I was the founder of Catalan language course and its promoter in the cultural centre I worked for where my activity was related to the following points: ▪ Introduction to grammar and practical vocabulary necessary for fundamental communication skills ▪ Instill concepts of both Spanish and Catalan languages by introducing interactive activities ▪ Use structural methods and materials appropriate for instruction success ▪ Assess student accomplishments and work with them on weak areas

I always enjoyed English as a subject at school and received good grades. With English and my qualification in Business Studies I was then able get my first teaching job in Paris, teaching predominantly Business English in schools and in companies. Teaching gave me the opportunity to indulge my passion for travel and I spent the next four years teaching in Europe before returning to the UK to consolidate my work experience with a Diploma in TEFL. Since then I have taught mainly in central London Schools and appreciate the opportunity it has given me to really get to know people and their different cultures.

I began teaching in 2004 at a Waldorf school in southern England. I taught a variety of humanities, including German, English, and French. I have also worked in translations for many years, which has helped me to learn the subtleties of expression in the languages I use. I believe in learning naturally, without studying rules and structure (none of us do this with our first language, after all!). I have always enjoyed seeing progress in others, and facilitating this in an effortless way is something I find very rewarding. I have also taught theatre, as well as worked with disadvantaged young people, focusing on motivation, self-esteem and self-confidence.

I have a Master's degree in Teaching - Secondary Education (older children and adults). Although formal teaching is my second career, I have been teaching all of my life--children through adults. I work to help my students have space to figure out answers without cutting them off, and helping them learn to calm their mind so they can think clearly to work on an answer.

I'm an English language graduate and a certified teacher, and therefore can assist you on your learning process and instruct you to prepare for you exams. I taught English in private lessons, I began semester with students and ended them with preparing for their exams, and also helped learners of Arabic in Turkey on preparing for tests. Teaching Arabic came along in 2010 when I gave voluntary lessons for students of cultural exchange in the Higher Institute for Languages. The desire to teach my mother tongue motivates me to work hard, especially when seeing things progressing steadily. I teach for a variety of goals, like conversational, media and business Arabic. I always try to teach in the same way that I would like to be taught myself - by someone with a good understanding of the language that they are teaching, a sense of humor, a bit of patience and the ability to respond to students individual goals and needs.

I am pretty quirky, and find it really easy to connect with students. The skills I learnt on my TESOL course have equipped me well to deal with difficulties in the classroom such as misunderstanding, mispronunciation, eliciting language and time management. I am adaptable, and can often find new ways of explaining tasks or language rules if they are not understood first time round.

I am a registered school teacher and also have qualifications to teach English as a Foreign Language and Business English. Since I retired from classroom teaching, I have taught English to students in China, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. I would like to focus my online teaching on Conversational English.

Although I have never formally trained in teaching language, I have voluntarily taught Japanese for many years. I’ve attended to language exchange lessons in Toronto and New York and taught Japanese to people from all over the world (e.g. American, Canadian, Russian, Polish, German, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc.) from very beginners to fluent people. I made close friends who learn Japanese and we always asked and taught each other when I was studying English. One of my best friends is an American and he still asks me about the Japanese language even after he moved to Japan.

I'm a very patient teacher, and I understand that the process of learning can be different from person to person. I use my training to study and adapt the best methodologies and approaches to fit my students' needs . I like to keep it fun and dynamic, so my students can feel comfortable practicing their skills and our classes can be more productive.

I love to meet students who wish to improve their English skills with me, and I hope that they are as enthusiastic as I am. Over the years, I have taught over 10,000 students a variety of English skills including business English, IELTS preparation, conversation, interview preparation, and proofreading / editing. I get genuine pleasure from hearing the English skills of my students improve. I have a lot of return students, some of whom have been studying with me since I started teaching in 2010 and so I am confident that my teaching style is universally appealing. I am patient, friendly, understanding, and most importantly... reliable!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and I have a TOFEL Certification from Oxford Seminars. I taught English in a university and business setting in China for eight years. I wanted to become a teacher because I like sharing ideas with people and knowing that through the power of communication, I can make a difference. Sometimes, this difference is profound and sometimes this difference can be subtle. Either way, a difference made is change and change is extremely powerful. Change lets us know that we as people must constantly adapt and evolve.

I have a Native Canadian English Accent, a 140 hour certificate from Oxford Seminars specializing in Teaching Business English, a Bachelor's of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA). I taught English at "Planet English" in Mexico and online with EF, but most importantly I enjoy teaching - sharing the English Language. I also enjoy editing documents and translations for the more advanced students.
