My lessons are very structured and are mostly focused on grammar with prompts, images, audios, and reading. There's conversation practice so that you can remember the grammar rules that we just learned. *I don't believe that *only* conversation practice will help you learn a language if you *don't* live in that country.* I take my students' successes and failures personally. I do expect commitment and dedication from my students, which means also studying outside of our class times. I do NOT teach children, accent reductions, or pronunciation training. I have a great love for languages in general and have always been fascinated with how they work. I enjoy mapping one language onto another. I try to evoke this same interest in my students, and help them see both the similarities and the differences between their native language and the language they are learning.

I worked as a medical laboratory technologist in the United States before changing my career to teaching. I have been teaching English as a foreign language now for eight years. Teaching allows me to connect more with people while helping them to reach their goals which is something I enjoying doing. I studied a masters in Multicultural and Bilingual Education in Madrid while doing an internship at a nearby high school. I also have a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).

In our class, YOU will be doing most of the speaking! I provide delayed corrections as well as written feedback and explanations for you to keep and study. I am extremely patient and do my best to create a positive learning environment where we learn from our mistakes. We can discuss a variety of topics, news articles, or practice role-playing and interview scenarios.

I believe that learning a language is like a bridge between cultures and people. As a teacher I want to learn as much from you as you learn from me. I believe that learning is a two-way street and that the teacher and student can learn a lot from one another. I would also consider myself to be patient, flexible, and willing to meet you at any level you may be at. I have worked with both children and adults. Furthermore, I have worked with a broad range of different levels from very basic beginners up to C2 level.

I have been teaching for about six years in Ukraine. I have been leading speaking clubs and having normal lessons in English. I currently teach people of all ages and levels. My mother is also a teacher and growing up I watched her a lot and observed how good she felt when a student got better, I always want that feeling. It's a rewarding feeling. Teaching is also a way to expose myself to other cultures and lifestyles. I have been teaching in my city for a while and I have put in work to be good at what I do. I think I'm also a lot of fun, I smile a lot. I can provide you with different materials for the lessons. I love stand up so I also like to share that with my students.

I have many teaching techniques that students have been very pleased with when they work with me. When we meet, I will ask you what you would like to work on specifically. There are many things we could work on, including conversational skills, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing skills, pronunciation, and grammar rules, just to name a few. All of these aspects can be improved by using different techniques within my class. Whichever you choose, I promise that it will be beneficial. I am very patient and non-judgmental. I have always been a coach. I started in music; I'm a Professional Drummer with 20 years experience. For a while I was teaching drums while touring and recording. I moved onto sports; I'm a fully qualified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Nutrition Advisor and Sports Coach. I have three main lesson types: 1: Business English: Therefore, I teach business terminology and practice and cultural English for students wishing to work within English speaking businesses. 2: General English: Where I work with the student to choose the topics they want in order to improve their English 3: English Exam Coaching: I teach students who are wanting to pass English exams. I have qualifications in both the IELTS and TOEFL systems and teach both, as well as other methods if required. I also give feedback towards the end of every lesson so that the student understands where they are at on their journey to learning English and can set tailored homework if you like

I started teaching English when I moved to Japan in 1997. I taught there for three years. In 2011 I signed up at the Teaching Training College, where not only did I learn about languages but also about pedagogy. For this reason, I always design meaningful lessons based on the communicative approach and the four skills (Reading, writing, speaking and listening). These lessons are always prepared taking into consideration the interests of the learner and the objectives set to improve any aspect of the language. Besides, I try to create a good and comfortable atmosphere where the learner feels free of making mistakes and they are seen as a way to improve the learning path.

My experience as a Managing Director in a Fortune 500 company and most recently my role as an entrepreneur provide the framework for business lessons. I am a TESOL certified English teacher and use a communicative approach with all my lessons.

I been a teacher for about 10 years. I love teaching and learning. I think learning a new language will open a new window to another world, when you learn a new language, you learn a new culture and in this way you will enjoy life more. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and I have a TOFEL Certification from Oxford Seminars. I taught English in a university and business setting in China for eight years. I wanted to become a teacher because I like sharing ideas with people and knowing that through the power of communication, I can make a difference.
