I’ve been teaching English for most of my years in Costa Rica since 2002 and enjoy it very much. I’ve taught in schools and private institutions but with children of my own, it works better for me to teach in my home. I love having classes with small groups or individuals because I feel I can give them better attention and therefore they learn much faster and much better.

When teaching, there are certain key elements that I always try to follow: 1. Joy: Using different media, I always try to make lessons more engaging. 2. Organisation: Systematic development is each lesson is ensured. 3. Flexibility: Lessons tailored to your needs and purposes. 4. Feedback: Real assessment on your development is given, so that you can journey on this path with more confidence.

When I teach, I always give a 100% during the class. I try to ask the right questions so the students could be the ones that mostly do the speaking part because that's how they learn to communicate.

During my career, I've studied English, Spanish, German and I learnt the basis of French on my own. I graduated in Languages and Cultures of South Asia (University of Venice) and I completed my MA in Communication, Literatures, and Media in South Asia (University of Heidelberg, Germany). Studying very different linguistic varieties such as Hindi, Hebrew and Urdu I improved both linguistic skills and more efficient learning methodologies: for this reason, I could assist students with difficult tasks and tutoring new beginners during each semester. Therefore, I have more experience with academic learning, teaching and translations.

I enjoy having conversations and getting to know my student. I believe that we need to be able to communicate and have fun together. Without this, the lessons will be boring and neither of us want that.

I have been teaching for the past 13 years. I have my Master’s in TEACHING ENGLISH from California, so as you can tell, teaching English is not only my career, but it's my life passion!! I teach both children and adults.

I taught music for two years in Canada, then I moved to China to teach ESL. I worked at a high school, training school and kindergarten. For the past year, I have been teaching online from Indonesia. I have had a diverse range of teaching experiences which helps me to teach a wide variety of students.

I have been a dance teacher for 40 years, so that I am sure I love teaching! At some times in the past, I have also given private language lessons at home, but it was hard to fit them into my family life. Now with italki offering online teaching, I am pleased to come back to it. I see teaching fundamentally as a way of communicating. Before starting to instil any skill in my dance students, I try to reach out to each of them and establish the open channel that is key to learning. This is how I am able to teach the difficult technique of classical ballet to complete adult beginners, women and men. Learning a language is no different and I will offer you my complete attention and support.

I have nine years of professional teaching experience in a range of settings. In addition to my undergraduate degree from Edinburgh University in the UK, I am CELTA qualified. Saudi Arabia: teaching on different university Preparatory Year Programmes (PYP), exam preparation classes (IELTS) and training government employees. I helped prepare university students for participation in public speaking and Model United Nations conferences. Iraq: teaching General English classes at a language centre, ranging from starter to upper intermediate levels and exam preparation. I have extensive experience conducting and preparing students for interviews, language assessments and examinations.

I have been working as an English language teacher for 4 years. I received my education in the USA as well as in Ukraine. I work with children, teenagers and adults. I have a C2 level of English and I will be happy to help you master spoken English, clarify grammar and help you to prepare for an interview or exams.

I have been teaching for the past 16 years. My specialties include Business English teaching, job interview preparation and Cambridge Exam preparation classes (FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS).

I am patient and kind, and lessons will move at a pace you are comfortable with. I am knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects, so we will always have something to talk about. I am also charismatic, and I aim to create an environment where my student can express themselves freely and openly.

As a community teacher I see myself improving the students' conversational and writing skills. Since I do come from a psychology background, I understand the science behind the learning process and that people have different learning styles: some may like to watch things (visual learner) and some may prefer writing. Therefore, I'd try to adjust my approach based on the students' needs as well as their expectations.

I am certified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL). I have been teaching on various online platforms for over 2 years, with over 1000 hours of online classes. This coupled with my global business & team management experience, equips me to help students improve their business English, especially with things like making presentations or proposals, writing e-mails, conducting meets or negotiations and even students looking to improve their interview skills.

Don't worry about your level I am really easy going and patient. I like to see how improvements are coming meanwhile we have fun learning a new language. I also love learning languages and I would like to transmit that passion therefore my classes are far from being boring and strict. I got my certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from International TEFL Academy in 2019. I have several months of experience teaching mixed-level adult classes (Canadian Benchmark Levels 1-4) in Winnipeg, Canada. My long-term goal is to move abroad (most likely to Asia) and teach English to students of all ages.

I've taught Physical education from K- 12th grade. I've coached multiple sports and worked with kids of all ages. In the business world I've managed restaurants and supervised and coached at times up to 40 employees.
