Als Lehrkraft habe ich an verschiedenen Stellen wertvolle Erfahrungen gesammelt: ich habe ein Praktikum an der Deutschen Schule in Oslo absolviert, habe in Deutschland mit jungen Menschen gearbeitet, die Deutsch als Fremdsprache lernten und als Privattutorin Englisch in Kambodscha unterrichtet. Als Lehrkraft möchte ich stets die Perspektive der Lernenden einbeziehen, da ich selbst weiß wie wichtig es ist, einen geduldigen Lehrer zu haben, der gut zuhören kann und sich der Lerngeschwindigkeit anpasst.

I can look back on over three years of online acrobatic coaching with students from all over the world and mainly teaching in English. I also had the pleasure to take care of Japanese Aikido teachers during their stay in Switzerland and help them as a translator. And I had several friends which I had the pleasure of teaching in one to one settings. This provided me many good insights and clues on how to use and teach foreign languages to other persons. And of course I am constantly learning myself as a student – so I know what it is like to attend a language lesson and what you need to have for a fun but also productive time.

I was working as a teachers assistant at the german school in mexico for 5 years and i have also been a language german tutor for another company. I know how challenging and FUN it is to learn a new language. Let me help you with that! I am always happy to see a students progress. It does not matter if you are a fast or slow learner. Most important is that you feel comfortable and that you are having fun! My classes are for ADULTS ONLY!

I am a very experienced teacher, but the most important thing is that I absolutely love what I do. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. I love sharing knowledge and ideas and I am very patient. When teaching I create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and where you can experience the joy of learning a new language. I am a very patient and encouraging person which is why I am trying to create a warm and inspiring learning atmosphere, where you as a student can feel comfortable and study German with me without any pressure. I try to provide you with a variety of vocabulary for different contexts and to mediate a feeling for intuitive speaking.

Mir wurde in meiner Schulzeit sehr oft gesagt dass ich sehr präzise und ruhig beim erklären bin, weshalb ich mich auch entschieden habe Unterricht auf Italki zu geben. Als Lehrer versuche ich jeden Fehler beim sprechen rauszuhören und immer auch gleich Korrekturen mitzugeben. Ich bin auch komfortable genug Korrekturen, oder auch Antworten auf Englisch zu beantworten. I was often told during my school days that I am very precise and calm during explanations, which is why I decided to teach on Italki. I try as a teacher to always pick out every mistake during speaking and to always give corrections. I am also comfortable enough to give corrections, or answers in English.

Due to the fact that I'm a language learner myself, I have got to know how the process of learning a language works, and how difficult or frustrating it sometimes can be. Luckily I know various tricks to overcome those barriers! I have experience teaching Spanish, German and English. I love to be able to help someone improve their skills in a language!

Language learning should be FUN! I want to help you feel RELAXED and not nervous when speaking German. Since I have many italki teachers myself, I know how important it is, to make the student speak. YES - YOU HAVE TO SPEAK! IN GERMAN! And I promise: It's not as hard as you think! Let's neglect the difficult grammar for a while and you will be surprised how soon you will be able to comunicate! Let me give you an example: What if I said: "Have he cat?" instead of "Does he have a cat?" - It's wrong, but totally understandable! -> So if you say "Er haben Katze?" instead of "Hat er eine Katze?" everybody will be able to understand you!

Erfahrungen als Sprachlehrer habe ich bereits als Französisch- Nachhilfelehrer gesammelt. Ich denke, dass der eins zu eins Unterricht ideal ist um sich komplett auf deine Ziele, Bedürfnisse und deinen individuellen Lernforschritt einzulassen. Da ich selber auf iTalki spanisch lerne, weiß ich, dass eine gute Beziehung zwischen Lehrer und Schüler, die vorallem auf gegenseitigem Respekt, Geduld und viel Empathie beruht, unabdingbar ist.

I have lots of fun discussing and explaining German words, phrases and sentence structure. I have been supporting language learners on Italki since January 2019. In the past I have lived in many countries. Whenever I am back home in Germany I go back to driving an abulance. My students appreaciate my slow and clear speech. I am very patient - I dont mind repeating myself over and over again :) Repetition is essential. I encourage students to make mistakes as they catalyse the learning process.

I have been teaching many students for three years, so I have already some experience in teaching. I am a very patient teacher. It is no problem for me to repeat things, which my student did not understand. Thanks to my language studies in Italy, where I attended university, I understood how important it is to use the new language every day to make steady improvements and I also know how difficult it can be to learn it when you have a busy life. I had some freelancer jobs as a translator and teacher already. Furthermore I've learned 4 foreign languages so far (English, French, Spanish, Japanese) and can therefore very well understand the problems beginners are facing when learning a new language. I've also lived in the French speaking part of swiss for more than 3 years. I enjoy teaching people things, especially in languages. I always try to speak slow, clearly and simplify my sentences if I realize the student can't keep up with me. I'm also very patient and give general advice on how to learn a language.

I worked as a freelance tutor for more than two decades and helped many students to achieve their goals. Everyone is different and while I have a nice toolbox of proven methods to help a student I will always adjust to my students and their needs. Language acquisition has many steps. We will need a good solid foundation before we can really build out our new language core.

I have previously taught German and English in China and Thailand and what I noticed there was that many students after some point reach a plateau where their vocabulary is not improving that much anymore because they are discussing the same topics again and again. So as a teacher I like to focus on expanding my students' vocabulary so they can reach the next level of language learning through conversation, whether this means going from basic to intermediate or intermediate to advanced. During my lessons I create a comfortable enviroment where you can really try things out without having to be afraid of making mistakes.
