As someone who used to stutter and dislike languages (and especially the pesky grammar), getting into intense-self-studies to improve my English became my origin story. I worked as teacher for English in my hometown for 2 years afterward, after acquiring a C2 certificate from Cambridge. This encouraged me to also intensely study and re-fresh the German grammar, phonetics and teaching techniques (didactic) before starting to teach it online full-time. (it included a lot of head-shaking, and I’m a native) Through that, and my pursuit to master art I don’t believe in inherited talent, but pursued interest. Everyone can, through dedication, practice and fun, learn to speak a foreign language.

I've taught more than 6000 lessons on italki, and I also have TEFL and CTEYL certificates for teaching English. I´ve spent a lot of time on reading studies, watching presentatiosn by polyglots and scientists, MOOCs (Computer Enhanced Language Learning, for example). I’ve started private teaching in 2014. I have no accent, and I teach in standard German. In the beginning I taught people from East Asia, but today my students are coming from all over the world. I started teaching German to international students in 2009 as a private tutor during my university studies. During that time I realized that this is my true passion, because I love to work with people and seeing progress in my students makes me feel proud and truly happy.
