As a teacher and a student who learned English as a second language, I know that the journey can be rough sometimes and very methodical, with that said, I like to learn a little about my student's interests and style to adapt and turn the learning process as easy and familiar as possible. While I was taking my Undergraduate Degree, I started teaching English as a part-time job. When I graduated, It became a career. I taught English to students of all ages and levels for 6 years. When I had a full classroom, I tried to be as dynamic as possible but in teaching one-to-one, It is interesting to have the format of a conversation, while grammar and vocabulary are slowly introduced throughout the classes.

I became a teacher when I came back to Brazil in 2014. At the same time I started teaching, I took my TESOL course and I’ve been teaching privately ever since. I really appreciate students who are independent and aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone and learn with their own mistakes. And forget what you've heard about learning a second language being difficult as an adult. If you maintain consistency in your studies, you will reach fluency. I started speaking English when I was 30 and I became proficient not long after. If I was able to achieve this as an adult, you can as well.
