I think to be a very patient teacher, I try to create the best empathy with my students to learn a new language in a very relaxed way. I already taught english for beginners in a city course some years ago and I realized that I had no problems explaining and maybe repeating things to my students, I was very happy to see them learning step by step, fullfilling their language expectations, that was a very great result!

Thanks to my past as a language student and my work experience, first as a language tutor and now as a teacher, I am able to understand what is useful to a student during his learning path, what can help him achieve his goals. Each student is different from the other, so it is important to use a different method each time, which adapts to everyone's needs, making learning as easy and pleasant as possible. During my career I also had experience with students with learning disorders, such as dyslexia. The age range of my students ranges from middle school kids to adults, everyone is welcome!

For our lessons I’ll choose among a selection of textbooks written by professional authors. The choice will be based on many factors: your current level, your native language and its distance from the target language, your goals and learning style. If you need to reinforce some topics I’ll add extra activities to the lessons or as homework. Homework is not compulsory, but please keep in mind that learning a language is fun and effective only when both the student and the teacher put some effort into it. I’m very happy to teach students with different needs, from beginners who have never learned a second language to advanced students who are looking for serious, structured teaching.

Currently, I work in an English Private School in Turin and I teach both English and Italian to non-native speakers. I taught English to toddlers (0-3 years old) in a private nursery. In addition, during my MA degree I was a university tutor for international students who wanted to learn and improve their Italian language skills, and I helped Italian university students to improve their English skills. Finally, I managed English courses for teenagers in summer campuses, where I held a workshop in which students had to create a comic strip with them as protagonists with dialogues written in English.

During my teaching experience I realised that text books and manuals are useful but not enough to deeply understand a language, to assimilate the structure and use it properly and brilliantly in any situation. I'm a certified Italian teacher for foreigners and I started with private lessons both online and in presence. So far, my students have expressed satisfaction about my lessons, because I'm flexible in my schedule and very focused on their goals. In my lessons, I follow an inductive methodology, which means that, as a guide in the learning process of the students, I help them to discover by themselves the rules that govern the various linguistic aspects. I think that this methodology is much more effective than other more traditional methods, since it allows better internalize what has been learned.
