How I would describe myself as a teacher? I would answer: friendly, precise, creative and keen. Attentive to students and versatile, according to their needs and goals. Eager to learn students’ sparkling eyes are my real engine! I always make every effort to pass on to them my knowledge and my fondness for languages and cultures in a friendly and inspirational atmosphere. I enjoy teaching and also learning from my students. I like to learn about new cultures (history, languages, etc.) and also to share my own. I'm always open to meet new people and sharing with them experiences and knowledge.

Insegno su Italki da più di un anno e con il tempo ho preparato molto materiale differente per tutti i livelli. Ho insegnato italiano a bambini stranieri in Italia per diversi anni privatamente. Sono stata insegnante di inglese, di sostegno e di musica in scuole pubbliche in Italia dal 2012 al 2019. Ho insegnato inglese in progetti di recupero presso licei italiani. Ho svolto attività di volontariato in un progetto educativo in inglese in Sudafrica (luglio 2017). Ho lavorato nel settore turistico-linguistico in Italia per 7 anni. Ho svolto attività di traduzione dall'inglese e dall'olandese all'italiano.

I am a serious, but relaxed teacher. I like to think that it is easier to memorize new things when having fun, rather than under stress.

I received my degree in languages and literature in 1986. One of my first jobs was worked as a congress hostess and also as a tourist translator. In 1992, I started to teach Italian as a foreign language for all levels, from beginners to advanced. I have taught one to one, groups and also full immersion lessons as requested. In the last few years, I have also taught children and young people using Skype. My certified Italian language teacher diploma is from the University of Siena ( Ditals I ) and from the University of Perugia ( DILS PG II ). I am registered in the professional register of teachers of Italian for foreigners known as APIDIS (Albo Professionale Insegnanti di Italiano )

I'm a big fan of the Italian language (and culture) and I love to help people learn it. I know it can be tough but with patience and motivation it can be fun. From my personal experience as a learner, I've come to realize that the best way to learn and practice a language is using it for everyday matters, especially to talk about one's passions and hobbies. Talking about the things we like is a positive, stimulating way of practicing; learning becomes quicker, more natural and less tiring. I want my students to feel free to express themselves without being judged, so don't be afraid to speak and make mistakes with me: mistakes are an excellent way to learn!

I've been working as a language teacher since 2014. I've been teaching to students of almost all ages and educational degrees, from secondary school to university, and in language schools both in Italy and Spain. I adopt a communicative approach, without dismissing the importance of focusing on specific aspects of the language when needed. I love to transmit not only the language, but also the cultures of Italy and Spain. For this reason I love to use movies, musics and so on during the classes, and I hope that our lessons will give you a taste of these countries. And that you will learn more than just a new language.

I will teach you all my communication skills in the Italian language. No matter what level you are at, together we will achieve your goals! We will focus on the conversation, we will analyse dialogues and idioms in Italy, always paying attention to grammar! You will also receive invaluable motivation in learning the Italian language, but also in terms of everyday life.

Le mie esperienze hanno avuto luogo in diversi contesti di apprendimento e con diverse tipologie di studenti: da principianti ai livelli più avanzati. Il mio obiettivo è rendere l'apprendimento un attività entusiasmante e allo stesso tempo mirata a soddisfare gli obiettivi prefissati dai miei studenti, con attività a 360° che coprano tutta la competenza comunicativa. My experiences took place in different learning contexts and with different types of students: from beginners to the most advanced levels. My goal is to make learning an exciting activity and at the same time aimed at meeting the objectives set by my students, with activities at 360 ° that cover all communication competence.

MY TEACHING STYLE I’m an easy-going and friendly teacher: I like to create an informal and relaxed environment to support my students’s learning process! I have great communication skills and I'm a creative person: I constantly update on new materials to use in my lessons.

After graduating, I attended various training courses and received two internationally recognized qualifications; the CEDILS certification and the “diploma DILIT”, which gave with a strong foundation in the theory and practical skills required for teaching Italian. I have given private Italian lessons to students of all levels, both offline and online; I have also worked and volunteered as an Italian teacher with an organisation that helps unaccompanied immigrant minors. I don't believe that one method fits all; everyone is different and so we will work out the best strategy for you, based on your goals, your personality and your current level of Italian.

Over the last years, I have been working with adult learners who are keen on exploring the Italian language and culture the smart way. I will be your reliable guide to learn and use Italian as a means to empower their lives and professions and to make the most out of the little time we have to learn in our busy lives. I am an efficient person and my programs are designed to be productive too. We don’t waste money or time, we work toward a goal at your pace and depending on your interests. My accent is neutral. I have studied the Italian diction with an actress for one year and I can explain very well the differences in Northern, Souther and Central accents and even impersonate them!

I believe that every student is different and unique. Everyone learns languages for different reason, so I think is important to prepare lessons according to individual needs!

I love being a teacher as I love being a student and learning new things. In learning a new language I think the fundamental things are listening and talking. But every now and then some grammatical rules don't hurt. The most important thing is to have fun: when we have fun we learn better and faster.

My style of teaching is relaxed and informal and my approach is natural and very conversational. I will help you to improve your vocabulary and confidence. I have experience teaching students from all over the world with many different cultural backgrounds and learning styles. I tailor the sessions to your own learning preferences and skill sets. I am a full-time teacher, meaning that my schedule is open throughout the day and students can choose the class times that best suit them. I put all of my energy and enthusiasm into teaching my students. You can tell me your special needs, and I will do my best to help. My lessons aim to get you using the language for fluency.

I can help you to become a POLYGLOT , I always try to make everything simple so my students can feel comfortable with the target language. As a language learner, I know from experience that speaking is necessary to learn quickly and effectively. Most classes fall into the trap of using the same, highly ineffective, traditional teaching methods. Too much lecturing and theory leave students bored and tired. I have found a way to help my students to learn faster, and retain more information easily and quickly. My approach is based on a few fundamentals: listen and repeat, pronunciation, active thinking, spaced repetition. I believe in a flexible approach to language learning.

Sono una persona molto paziente e solare. Credo che con il tempo ognuno possa raggiungere il proprio obiettivo! Mi piace parlare di libri, musica, teatro, film. Un modo divertente di imparere l'italiano è imparare le canzoni italiane, mi piacciono molto. Amo molto il mio paese quindi possiamo parlare della cultura italiana, di luoghi che ti piacerebbe visitare, del cibo! I'm a really patient and funny person!
