As a teacher I try to understand the problem and goals of my students and then decide the teaching process.Thus, in my class, how you want to learn is decided by mutually discussing your problems and goals. According to me having conversation is one of the best ways to get comfortable in any language. So, I encourage my student to talk and more importantly think in the language they want to learn, rather than translate. you will get more fluent and your conversational skills will also become much better. I think your confidence and comfort are very important factors while learning and I work on improving them as much as I can.
