I have a Master's degree in Linguistics, which included Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching, from the University of Essex. I have 5 years of experience as a professional language teacher at international schools. I started teaching Greek in 2012 and English in 2016. Puedo enseñar griego en español también.

I have 5 years of experience in teaching modern and ancient Greek to children and adults of various levels, from absolute beginners to advanced students. In my lessons, we will practice all aspects of linguistic competence, namely writing, speaking, listening, and reading. My goal while teaching is to maintain your enthusiasm and curiosity during this learning journey. I can guarantee that it’s going to be fun and that you will see results in the first months of our lessons. But the most important thing for me is to make the lessons relevant to you and your interests.

Although I have a technical background (Electrical Engineering / IT) I always had a desire to do more with languages and I have a talent for learning languages and teaching. During my IT career I also had to teach (the use of specific software etc.). At some point when it was time to find an other job, I made the change to become a full time language teacher. Since then I have been building up my experience at schools, in private lesson and very soon also through Skype.

I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable. In our first lesson we will get to know each other and decide together how we want to design our lessons. We will make various exercises which will be based on your level and your skills. The lessons should match your expectations and if you like to change something or to practice some skills more specifically, we will do so. I also like to give homework, if that is fine by you.

I got my Bachelor's Degree in Greek Philology, School of Philosophy, at University of Athens in 2006. Since then, I've been successfully teaching Modern Greek to Greek pupils of all levels. I started teaching Greek Language and History to adult foreigners in 2013 and I must say it has been a very interesting experience so far. It has always been a pleasure for me to communicate with different people from all over the world. I would also like to mention that I have participated in several seminars on Special Education, which have helped me improve myself and my teaching methods.
