Currently, I'm giving private lessons in English and Italian. Since 2018 I am teaching Italian (A1-A2) at an adult learning centre (Volkshochschule). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I switched from classroom to online lessons in March 2020. Since June 2020 I am giving an online lesson every week in German to a lady living in Düsseldorf.

For me it's important to make sure that my students are confident in their skills to build upon them. Language learning often is hard and time consuming. So I want to make it as fun as possible by using media and motivate students by showing them what they have achieved so far using practical examples. Es ist mir wichtig, sicherzugehe, dass meine Schüler sicher in ihren Fertigkeiten sind, um darauf aufzubauen. Eine Sprache zu lernen ist oftmals schwierig und zeitintensiv. Daher möchte ich ihnen es so angenehm wie möglich machen, indem ich verschiedene Medien nutze und sie dahingehend motivere, dass ich ihnen anhand von praktischen Beispielen zeige, was sie bereits erreicht haben.

Originally I have a degree in Industrial Engineering & Management but decided to use my passion for helping and motivating people and become a German Teacher. I completed beginning of 2021 my DLL Course of the GOETHE INSTITUTE which qualifies me to teach German for foreigners all over the world. "NO MISTAKES, NO PROGRESS" is one of my Guidelines! I think CONFIDENCE is the key to learning a language successfully! So just free yourself from doubts and fears and speak with me! Seit meiner ersten Unterrichtserfahrung vor nunmehr 10 Jahren weiß ich, dass ich Deutsch unterrichten will. Mittlerweile habe ich Erfahrung in Deutschland, Italien, Österreich, Spanien und Großbritannien gesammelt und mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen gearbeitet. Zu meinen Schülerinnen und Schülern gehörten Kinder, Jugendliche, Studenten und Erwachsene auf allen Niveaustufen. Ich sehe mich nicht nur als Sprachlehrende, sondern auch als Vermittlerin landeskundlicher Aspekte und als zertifizierte Goethe- Telc- und TestDaF-Prüferin und -Bewerterin gehört auch Prüfungsvorbereitung zu meinem Repertoire.

I have had my own Academy for more than 15 years and now I have to decide to continue a teaching online, so I can help people all over the world to learn or improve a foreign language. I really like teaching, I've been doing it for 16 years. I'm fluent in Spanish and German as a mother language. I focus a lot on grammar and writing, but I also offer conversation classes. I guarantee you some didactic classes, in which you will learn a lot. I can improve your writing skills in Spanish. Together we can do perfect essays or what you need. If you have a job interview in Spanish or German, I can also help you practising in the language you need. I have a degree in Human Resources, so I know the skills you need for an interview. Ich passe mich deinem Niveau an und spreche langsam, wenn du Anfängerin oder Anfänger bist. Und wenn du schon mehr Übung hast, können wir schneller und über komplexere Themen sprechen. Of course we can switch to English for explanations. Por supuesto te puedo dar explicaciónes en espagñol quando quieras. Bitte buche nicht sofort ein Stundenpacket, sondern erst eine Probe- oder Einzelstunde, damit wir schauen können, ob es für uns beide passt ;-)

First and foremost I am a learner who enjoys learning languages as a hobby. So I understand the frustrations and challenges faced by students when they try to mesh the theoretical aspects of acquisition with the realities of speaking practice. I have written a language course for those tackling German and my approach with beginners is to introduce new language in a very structured way and to prioritise patterns above vocabulary, at least at the start. For more advanced students I am happy to select materials based on their interests. I always try to put people at ease and believe that learning should be an enjoyable as well as enriching experience.

I am a very calm person which enables me to fully point my attention towards the student. I strive to cater my student with topics according to their levels. Never too easy, but just right to make my students sweat a little. I know how to motivate students in the right moments, in order for them to have fun while learning and having a guaranteed stamina. Because it for sure takes work to learn a language, and I would love to help others reaching their goals.

As someone who used to stutter and dislike languages (and especially the pesky grammar), getting into intense-self-studies to improve my English became my origin story. I worked as teacher for English in my hometown for 2 years afterward, after acquiring a C2 certificate from Cambridge. This encouraged me to also intensely study and re-fresh the German grammar, phonetics and teaching techniques (didactic) before starting to teach it online full-time. (it included a lot of head-shaking, and I’m a native) Through that, and my pursuit to master art I don’t believe in inherited talent, but pursued interest. Everyone can, through dedication, practice and fun, learn to speak a foreign language.

My lessons are entertaining because I am a really curious person that is definitely going to make you speak. I am creating authentic conversations using well prepared teaching materials. Mein Unterricht ist sehr unterhaltsam, weil ich eine sehr neugierige Person bin, die euch definitiv zum Sprechen animiert. Es fällt mir leicht, einen Zugang zu anderen zu finden, indem ich viele Fragen stelle und authentische Kommunikationssituationen schaffe.

I love sharing knowledge and ideas and I am very patient. When teaching I create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and where you can experience the joy of learning a new language. Making mistakes is very welcome and a big chance of learning. If you don´t find a suitable time in my calendar, you can always ask me to open another slot.

I have helped many people learn languages and did it as a part-time job in my years of High School. Since I also did an exchange to the US, I am fully capable of speaking English as well which will help me translate it to international students from all over the world.

My native language is German, I am also fluent in English. At the moment I´m learning Sinhala and I know what it means to learn a new language and how hard it can be sometimes - additional to your lesson. So don't be afraid, I am a very fun, friendly and patient community tutor :)!

People usually say I am patient, open-minded, kind and optimistic. I love having deep, inspiring conversations, love learning from people and listening to their stories. I think that every human live is unique, precious and truly awesome in the original sense of this word — inspiring awe. I offer speaking practice in Russian, English and German. Russian is my native language, I was born and live since childhood in Moscow, I have very standard Russian with classic Moscow pronunciation and vocabulary. I am perfectly fluent in English and German. I don't "feel" these languages as good as I feel Russian, but I know German and English grammar through and through due to my university background.

I am a "language-learner" myself and therefore know, how it feels to get acquainted with a new language. I have been a language-student in school, university and while working full-time. So I do know how different life circumstances can change the way you're learning. I will adapt the classes to your personal needs and interests. I want to make learning interesting for you and therefore will incorporate different topics and ways of learning. A crucial part of learning a language to me is practice. This is why I like to assign homework (if that suits your personal circumstances, of course).

I teach Italian, German, English, Spanish, Russian, French, Dutch, Catalan, Portuguese, Greek, Hindi, Arabic and Esperanto (at different levels). I specialise in multilingual teaching (up to 10 languages in one course) and I am a certified language examiner for English, Italian, Russian, French, German and Spanish. I hold an MA in International Communication, an MA in Didactics, two BAs in Translating and Interpreting and a CELTA (Certification in English Language Teaching to Adults).

I worked as a freelance tutor for more than two decades and helped many students to achieve their goals. Everyone is different and while I have a nice toolbox of proven methods to help a student I will always adjust to my students and their needs. Language acquisition has many steps. We will need a good solid foundation before we can really build out our new language core.
