Ich habe an der LMU München u.a. das Fach "Deutsch als Fremdsprache" studiert. Während meines Studiums habe ich ein Auslandspraktikum am Goethe Institut in Rio de Janeiro absolviert. Ich habe bereits für zahlreiche Sprachschulen und Firmen in München unterrichtet. Seit 2015 bin ich selbstständige Deutschlehrerin und habe mich auf Business-Deutsch spezialisiert.

I have tutored for two years at the College of Charleston in German, French and Portuguese, as well as taught the beginning conversation courses for Portuguese students. During these positions, I worked a lot with textbooks and lesson plans, but I normally will adapt the students wants and needs to make sure they feel at ease and comfortable in order to learn the best they possibly can. As stated, my current work is with professionals, but I have experience with various profiles and am trained to work with students of various cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and ages. In addition, I can proficiently explain grammar in Spanish, Italian, Polish, and Dutch apart from my C2 languages.

I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable. In our first lesson we will get to know each other and decide together how we want to design our lessons. We will make various exercises which will be based on your level and your skills. The lessons should match your expectations and if you like to change something or to practice some skills more specifically, we will do so. I also like to give homework, if that is fine by you.

I am a very committed and serious person. AND while being committed to me it is essential to have FUN! :-) Because when I enjoy what I do I can spend even more energy on it and keep my levels high. I see me and the people I work with on equal levels. We are working together as a Team on your goals, on your growth and care for your needs.

I like to make the classes student-centered: What do you as a student need to advance? How would you like to spend your lesson? I would like to focus on conversations, reading texts, pronounciation and basic grammar topics. I am still educating myself on grammar topics in the german language.

Before iTalki, I volunteered to teach German and Math to Syrian refugees in refugee camps. It was there that I've discovered that I love teaching. --- I follow my own Teaching Philosophy: My goal is to teach you how to teach yourself a language with the tools I have provided here. Essentially, I want to make you an independent learner - an autodidact/self-learner - who can master the German language largely on his own in his spare time: Consequently, I do believe that your progress depends largely on you. As a passionate Language Teacher and Learner, I worked as a private tutor to teach my foreign friends and cliental Chinese, and at the same time teach my chinese friends German. I am a Person of communicativness and Curiosity , so I often encourage my students to keep practicing from the very beginning, and don't be afraid to make mistakes! I am a teacher that wants you to think about a language. I want you to understand the structure and how a language works. Memorization is a very inefficient and boring way to learn languages. This will also reflect in my teaching style. I will show you etymological patterns to dissect vocabulary and see where words come from. I am a patient person. I've learned/analyzed several languages myself and I know what aspects of a language cause more difficulties during the learning process. I am also a certified language teacher.

I work as a freelance teacher for a chain of language schools which is represented in all of Central America. Here I was taught an entertaining and dynamic teaching method.

Ich habe bereits während meiner eigenen Schulzeit Nachhilfe für jüngere Schüler/innen gegeben und gemerkt, dass mir das Lehren großen Spaß macht. Nach dem Abitur habe ich dann meinen BA in den Fächern Englisch und Geschichte an der Universität Hamburg gemacht. Was mir in der Schulzeit in meinem eigenen Englischunterricht an Sprachpraxis deutlich zu kurz gekommen ist, habe ich mir während meiner Studiumszeit durch Tandem-Partner und Sprachpraxis-Seminare, besonders aber auch durch mein Jahr in Neuseeland, in eigener Hand beigebracht. Dadurch und durch meine bisherigen Lehrerfahrungen geprägt, möchte ich meinen Unterricht individuell auf mein Tandem ausrichten.

Any student of any age or background is welcome! It is important for me to not only help them learn, but also to know them better and make learning as easy and comfortable as possible. My students will always have a priority on what exactly they want to learn, because that's what's gonna interest and motivate them the most. As a teacher, I believe it's very important for me to be friendly, caring, and encouraging with my students. Perhaps it will also help me learn a new language even! Jeder ist willkommen! As a tutor, I would to help you gain confidence to communicate in German. As I know how challenging it can be to talk a language you have just started learning, I am very patient.

I am a very intuitive person and also very communicative. For me the essence of really mastering a language is showing in conversation and communication. That's why I focus on strengthening the confidence and comfort speaking the language the most. Of course I get into grammar, vocabulary and expression, but I take a playful approach with exercises and talking about your interests and areas you want to improve in. You can expect homework assignments and also individualized worksheets, if you wish. I'm very adaptable and bring fun into the learning process!
