I have a great love for languages in general and have always been fascinated with how they work. I enjoy mapping one language onto another. I try to evoke this same interest in my students, and help them see both the similarities and the differences between their native language and the language they are learning.

I had the chance to have great language teachers at school and I naturally decided to become one and travel the world to teach French. Learning and speaking other languages (I recently took the C2-level Spanish DELE and I'm learning Portuguese) allows me to put myself in my students' shoes and have a better understanding about their difficulties.

All my lessons are professionally developed according to the CERF standards and were officially approved by Institut Francais, Cambridge ESOL and Duolingo for test preparation and general learning. I began teaching in 2004 at a Waldorf school in southern England. I taught a variety of humanities, including German, English, and French. I have also worked in translations for many years, which has helped me to learn the subtleties of expression in the languages I use. I believe in learning naturally, without studying rules and structure (none of us do this with our first language, after all!). I have always enjoyed seeing progress in others, and facilitating this in an effortless way is something I find very rewarding. I have been teaching English for 10 years and French for 6 years at language schools and in private so i am quite experienced in the field of language teaching. I have studied Language Teaching Methodologies during my literary studies so i am quite familiar with different methods, and i always try to find the best combination using miscellaneous sources such as course books, videos, internet, Powerpoint files, applications, etc.

I have been a modern foreign language teacher (French, Spanish, and English) for nearly two decades. I started my teaching career as a business language instructor in the oil and gas industry before moving to teach in international schools in 2004. Since then, I have worked with children aged 3-18 (i.e., pre-school through high school).
