I began teaching in the 1980's and for the last 12 years I've been teaching English in Shanghai, China. I've taught all ages, ranging from children of 5 up to adults. I'm TEFL certified and I have a Diploma In Media.

I have worked as an Associate Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge since July 2014. During this time, I have taught pre-sessional courses with groups of students from very different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, with varied targets and levels of knowledge of the language. I also teach General English, English culture and traditions, IELTS preparation. I am also involved in one-to-one tutoring aimed at improving essay writing. I work with both undergraduate and postgraduate students, supporting them in understanding what is required in academic English in general and in their own field of study in particular.

I started working as a Vietnamese and English tutor since early September last year, it has been an interesting, and wonderful experience to me personally. While helping an Australian friend study Vietnamese, I accidentally found out about my ability in teaching Languages, with the encouragement of my friend, the journey of me becoming a tutor began!
