Reaching the highest level of competency in language usage is a very different challenge to your first steps, which is why I specialise in advanced English. I have a degree from the University of Cambridge in English, as well as a CELTA certificate and master's degree in English literature. I have been teaching high-level English skills online for several years and have the experience, knowledge and empathy necessary to make sure you reach your goals the way you want to. I believe that the hardest step to take as a language learner is to see yourself on a level playing field as native speakers, which is why my lessons focus on the types of materials educated native speakers enjoy.

I like to not only focus on the language itself but to also integrate culture into my lessons too! The atmosphere in my lessons is casual, so you can feel comfortable. I’m friendly and will always adapt to my students’ level and needs. If you feel nervous about speaking, don't worry. It's ok to make mistakes and you will learn from them in no time! I am a teacher of English and Maths and worked as a college teacher abroad in US - NYC and UK - East Midlands. These days as a freelancer I focus on English mainly teaching not only students, but also business professionals and by preparing targeting tasks we can make a visible progress. I am familiar with international exams requirements for study or work abroad and I can suggest some good strategies based on a particular candidate language level to achieve a required score.

As a tutor in languages I really try to think through and evaluate on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I believe the most relevant aspects that I want to bring to my students are calming and judgmental-free atmosphere where student can feel comfortable to talk and let the chatter flow guilelessly, and also to motivate and help them through the obstacles in the language terminology and speech.

I teach Russian (general/technical/business) and general English, including, reading, speaking and writing; also, focusing on pronunciation and conversation skills. Recently, I have excelled at IETLS exam (my overall band score was 8.0), so I understand how it feels to learn a new language. I used Italki for my exam preparation, so I’d say, that by far it is the most productive way to learn a new language. I do enjoy general conversations as well, and am curious by nature so I always have many questions to keep the conversation going.

Isn't it annoying when you are talking to your teacher and you are thinking about grammar ,or you know that you made a mistake but your teacher isn't correcting you. I know I hate it. It's a waste of time and money. In our lessons, I will ALWAYS correct you, by writing down or interrupting to tell you this was mispronounced, grammatically incorrect or if it doesn’t sound right or natural. I have experience in teaching non-native Arabic speakers. I have taught many students and they all loved the language. I can teach children and adults in a simple and uncomplicated way. I am patient and friendly. I am flexible, I don't have a problem if a student asks me to change the topic or reschedule

My teaching career began in high school when I worked at my school's summer camp. In university I tutored reading to 3rd grade students at the local public school. Later I lived in Mexico and did an internship with an English teacher at the national university. In the internship I focused on improving students’ pronunciation and fluency. I have been a private English tutor in Ecuador, Spain, and Morocco. Most recently I was in Vietnam for 1 year teaching English to all ages and levels at a private language center.
