✅ Native speaker of German and Swiss-German (Bernese). ✅ Fluent in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Croatian and Russian. Conversational in more languages. ✅ Able to teach the German lessons in any of these languages plus Cantonese, French, Italian and Mongolian. ✅ Master’s degree in Sinology and Linguistics, Bachelor's degree in Translation. ✅ Certified teacher of German (DaF/DaZ). ✅ Several years of professional experience as a teacher of Modern Chinese, Classical Chinese (University) and German. ✅ Multiple years of experience as a medical interpreter and translator (Mandarin<>German/English). ✅ I am fascinated by everything language-related and find immense joy in imparting my knowledge with my students. ✅ I am trained, linguistics-savvy and well-read. If you need explanation to a complicated grammar phenomenon in German, you won't hear answers like "it just works that way, I don't know why" from me. ✅ Thorough, patient and cordial.

✅ I tailor-make all my classes suited to your personal needs, goals and your language level. ✅ I employ a wide variety of teaching methods (according to your needs) such as discussions, video, image description, reading practice, vocabulary exercises etc.) ✅ I also offer test preparation. ✅ My study materials are designed for adult learners. I therefore do not offer classes for children.
