Hi, I'm Kitty and I'm a law student. I grew up in Vienna and Graz, Austria and in Hanoi, Vietnam. I love rock climbing, creative writing, cats, casually learning Korean and reading. Being a big bookworm, I've always been fascinated with words and linguistics. Things may get lost in translation, but I think you can find something beautiful in being able to speak a different language!

我的教學經歷

I've been described as a chill, friendly and very supportive teacher by my students. I'm flexible and creative, and always try to find ways to make learning German fun and more effective for my students. After all, everyone is different in how they learn something best. As mentioned, I have taught German to elementary school kids and middle aged people. I have tutored native German speakers (in honing their writing skills) and foreigners learning German as secondary language since 2019. I'm also used to work with students who are not quite confident in German yet. So if you are a beginner, don't worry and let's give it a try!

Whether you want to be able to write casual texts, school-level essays or formal emails, I can help you. I have plenty tutoring experience in this area. Also, being a writer and beta reader means I know how to give constructive writing feedback. I've worked on dissertations (a requirement for Austrian high school graduation) and am a university student, so I have experience with more advanced written German. Whether you're a perfectionist who wants a native-ish pronunciation, or if you're just looking to hold simple conversations in German, I will patiently work with you on your goals. Speaking can be daunting, but I'll do my best to make the learning experience effective and least awkward.
