My name is Phoebe. I am a 22-year-old residing in Cape Town, the city that I was born in and where I have lived for my entire life. I am a native English speaker and an avid reader with a love of the English language. Some of my other interests are writing, music, art, and film. Some of the values that I adhere to are those of open-mindedness, loyalty, and resilience. Another value that I hold is that of compassion, and this is something I act on through regular volunteer work. I am a hard-working, dedicated individual who is disciplined in all of her endeavours.

I am practiced in learning and teaching through an online platform, a skill that was developed and demonstrated through my independent homeschooling for the latter part of high school including my final year. I am discerning and detail-oriented. This is to my benefit when considering choice of wording and grammatical structure. Earlier this year I also attained a TEFL certificate via an online institution.

My lesson style can vary depending on what works for each individual student. I am able to plan lessons that are structured, using worksheets and other teaching materials. I can also carry out lessons that are more relaxed and conversational.

My responsibilities included replying to emails and answering the phone, handling accounts and billing, as well as helping customers in person.

Article WriterGhostwriting - Cape Town, 南非I write articles for various websites. The length and topic of the pieces vary but they are always professional and of course, grammatically correct. This means that my English skills are kept sharp and this is therefore beneficial to my teaching.

Proofreader and EditorFreelancer - Cape Town, 南非My job is to carefully read the articles I am sent to ensure that they are grammatically correct and contain no errors. I then need to correct the errors I find. I correct the language used in terms of spelling, word choice, grammar, etc. This is a job that I am consistently busy with, helping me maintain a high standard of English that I can in turn pass on to my students.
