I've a MA degree in Chinese ancient literature (at Beijing Normal University) and a Ph.D. in Chinese philology (at Xiamen University). I'm both a professional teacher and a professional linguist, and I've more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals. I'm near-native in Chinese and also know several dialects. I've done fieldworks and published researches on several Yue dialects (Cantonese). I can teach every aspect of the Chinese language (and culture). 我的課程內容與教學風格

My teaching philosophy is not to synthesise my understanding, experience, and professional skills into universal or near-universal strategies which will help the learners to obtain certain knowledge, but to enable learners to understand both their strengths and weaknesses, to find their own way to acquire information and knowledge. I like to create a learning environment characterised by a well-structured atmosphere which is both pleasant and task-oriented, and the lessons are well planned and logically structured.
