I'm Philip, you can call me by my Burmese name "Wai Yan Htoon". I'm 33, living in Yangon, Myanmar. I was a former seafarer for nearly a decade. After passing out the ceremony from the Institute of Marine Technology in 2006, I had joined worldwide shipping companies from time to time. Mostly working in Europe and Scandinavia Countries. Later I quit my seafarer career and re-join to educational fields. Teaching proficiency English to Burmese students over 4 years and Burmese Language to different nationalities over 2 years. And also working as a freelance transcriptionist & social media evaluator on Appen. Favorite quote is "Have the courage to follow your heart"

我的教學經歷

I'm teaching proficiency English to Burmese students who would like to study abroad for their further education purposes as well as a better career in their life. And teaching the Burmese Language to foreigners for more than two years online and offline classes. Most of them are from the EU Myanmar society as well as other professionals who come and work in Myanmar.

我的課程內容與教學風格

My lessons are variable and effective for any level of students. Because I made my own curriculum which is suitable for total beginners. For the people who learn conversational Burmese quite well, I'm teaching government prescribed textbooks which are good for sitting Burmese Government approved examination. And the very basic grammar and written Burmese language. So you can train your listening skill by communicating with me. As well as writing, reading, speaking, and vocabularies too. Depending upon the student's requisition, I likely to explain each and every Burmese related cultural background and improving their knowledge about Myanmar.
