Hi everyone, I am Miriam, a 22 year old native German speaker from Bavaria. I’m going into my third year of university in the UK studying International Politics with Modern Languages. I am really interested in current affairs, politics, sustainability, travelling and human rights but am happy to chat about anything and would love to hear what interests you :-)

I have been a volunteer German tutor since 2017 and have worked with individuals aged 13 and above ranging from beginner to advanced language level. I am also happy to help with exam preparation, and provide guidance on specific tasks and proofread your work (texts, essays etc.) or help with improving your writing style, vocabulary and grammar.

我的課程內容與教學風格

My lessons are focused on making you comfortable speaking German whilst improving your language, pronunciation and grammar skills and broadening your vocabulary. I mainly do this through an informal teaching style (e.g. conversation/speaking exercises) because I know from my own experience of learning English how beneficial this approach can be. However, I am also happy to provide lessons with a more structural approach (e.g. written exercises, homework etc.) The most important thing for me is that you feel comfortable and that you learn efficiently. Let me know what your requirements and goals for learning German are so I can work out what's best. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

The lesson was really good! Miriam is really patient & easy to talk with, the lesson flew by and I learnt a lot - would recommend for anyone wanting to build confidence in speaking!
