I’m Suleiman from Zanzibar. I work as a Tour guide and Tour operator in Zanzibar & Tanzania. I speak five languages, Swahili as my native, English, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese. And currently I’m learning German, Russian and Mandarin. I like to learn different languages and cultures, it’s my hobby. On my quest of learning languages and cultures, I learned a lot of interesting things. Things that gave me different view of this world. Apart from learning languages, I like to teach them. I’ve helped a lot of people with learning languages. Including tourists, friends and language partners. I also volunteer as a Swahili tutor at NGO called SPEAK.social, it deals with refugees and migrants

As a polyglot I’ve huge knowledge of different languages. The knowledge of languages I have, helped me understand how hard is to learn foreign languages. And it taught me how easy is to learn foreign languages. So I’ll share with my students tips and processes to follow in their language journey

我的課程內容與教學風格

I teach all types of students, from beginner , intermediate and advanced levels. I also teach survival and travelling phrases for those who are interested to learn Swahili for vacation, traveling …. I use different methods in teaching, but I usually ask a student what type of methods they prefer, most of the time I use simplified notes that I’ve created myself, books, songs, YouTube videos, reading stories… I welcome you’ll to learn with me

I'm very pleased with my 1st swahili lesson! Mwalimu Suleiman figured out my areas of needed attention. We then went over locatives. He made sure I understood. I will continue our lessons, and continue to learn this beautiful language! Asante Sana mwalimu!

My lesson with Suleiman was excellent! We reviewed the three irregular verbs Kuwa, Kuwa na, and Kuwako. I have been struggling with these three verbs but after today's class with Suleiman I understand them a lot better. Thanks.
