I am an English teacher and a cinema/theatre lover. I love making and viewing movies. I have done some theatre work as well, now and then. I am amazed by the driving force of art and the relation between its branches, how they feed each other. I like talking, listening and sharing a lot, well maybe not sharing sweets that much, I don't mind solitude eating those. I am a good observer, it suits me to appreciate differences, between people, cultures -Oh culture... It is such a fantastic phenomenon. I love observing how people live by it, what they have seen from their parents, its components...

我的教學經歷

Good communication, good articulation mean a lot to me. No matter how much you know, how much you have acquired, if you are not good at articulating yourself, you rock the boat especially in teaching. As once a great Farsi writer living in this country (Rumi) said "...You can only explain as much as who listens to you can understand." In that sense Teaching is always more than transmitting knowledge. A teacher always represents an identity regardless of different learning settings. Looking upon my student years, teachers whom I admire are not those who perhaps know the most but the ones who could express themselves the best.

我的課程內容與教學風格

Language is the tool to communicate, it is a medium. It should never be seen as a purpose. That's why it should be used to master it. Practice matters the most. I tend to give my students a part of a puzzle and help them build the rest using those parts. I myself have been in situations that I was helplessly trying to express myself even in minor matters. I got to understand that learning a language is really a hard work. That's why I hope for the best but don't expect more than what one possesses. I am understanding. I believe in repetition, learning takes some time. Merely, for acquiring one single new word, one goes through several stages, Luckily, I am very patient.

It was really good lesson, we talked about tourism - topic which we chose before lesson started. I start to remind many words which I forgot without English practice, thank you Serhan! Hope I will improve my level step by step!
