[English] ¡Hello everyone! Mi name is Maria, I am 25 and I am from Barcelona, but currently I live in Madrid. I have more that 5 years of experience teaching English, Japanese and Spanish to children of all ages and adults. I speak Catalan and Spanish as they are both my native languages, but I also speak Japanese (I have the N2 level of the JLPT), English (C2 level recognized by Cambridge University) and French (DELF B2). I love languages and learning about other cultures and points of view. ［日本語］こんにちは、皆さん！私マリアと申します。スペインのバルセロナ出身です。大学で東アジア研究を専攻しました。関西外国語大学で１年間ぐらい留学しました。卒業後は言語学校で教師として勤務しています。スペイン語、英語と日本語を教える経験があります。スペイン語と英語の授業は日本語で話せるから、興味があったら、是非連絡してください。

我的教學經歷

I am a very passionate teacher because I love learning. I also love seeing the improvement in my students. I have been teaching since I graduated University and it is a job that I truly love. I think being a teacher does not mean having all the answers but being open-minded and accepting of other points of views. I always say learning goes both ways, since you can also learn from your students as a teacher. I have a master’s degree in Spanish Language, a Professional Spanish Teacher certificate by International House and I am a certified examiner for the DELE (all levels).

我的課程內容與教學風格

I try for my classes to be fun and dynamic. I adapt the content of the class to the students’ needs and I prepare my own activities, following some books for reference. I use song, videos, and fun and colorful activities to make the class meaningful. I try to teach trough conversation as well so do not be shy: you do not have to be afraid of making mistakes! I try to use mainly the target language in my classes to improve your listening skills, but if you are a beginner do not worry! We can start slow and I can also teach in any of the languages mentioned before.

Another great lesson with Maria! She is extremely patient with me, especially during early morning lessons where I'm struggling to think straight! The lessons are very organized and structured, and the exercises provide just enough of a challenge for my level. If you've studied Spanish before but need a refresher, Maria is the perfect professor! She helps me see that speaking in Spanish isn't as intimidating and complicated as I've felt it was in the past. Can't wait until the next lesson!
