Hello, my name is Rei! I am a native speaker of both English and Japanese. I grew up in Osaka and now live in the United States. I have loved teaching people Japanese all throughout my life, and I am very excited to meet new students through italki. I believe one of the best ways to learn a language is through conversation, so I would love to talk to people about their daily life and their interests in Japanese culture,society, and language! Other hobbies of mine are playing the guitar, watching anime, listening to music, and playing football. こんにちは！れいです。日本の大阪市に中学まで住んでいて、中学からアメリカの東海岸に住んでいます。今はアメリカの大学で勉強しています。英語で色んな人と喋るのが大好きなので、一緒に英語で喋ってみるのはどうですか？

我的教學經歷

I am currently a senior in college, and I am a teaching assistant for Japanese. I help teach Introductory Japanese as well as Intermediate Japanese, so I am familiar with how a course is laid out in a higher education environment. I have personally tutored many of my friends, family, and colleagues, and I have enjoyed every bit of it. Teaching people Japanese and English is one of my passions, and I would love to take part in the journey of learning a new language with you!

我的課程內容與教學風格

I will maintain a friendly conversational style during my lessons! Depending on my students, I can tailor our lessons to help with grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Also, because I grew up in both Japan and America, I can relate to the culture from both countries. I would love to introduce new aspects of culture and media to my students. Through our conversations, the students will be able to have dialogue and conversational practice. For General Japanese, I will use Genki textbooks that we will go through together. I would love to teach students all the way from beginner level to fluency!

Just finished a package with Rei and I enjoyed every second of it! Every lesson we had a very fun conversation, and he was always seeking to help teach me new phrases and more natural ways to convey my thoughts!
