Namaste! My name is Shalini. I have done my Masters' degree in History and Art & Culture. For a brief period, I also did research work under a scholarship for research work at the National University of Singapore. I lived in Indonesia to learn the Indonesian language and culture. I studied Liberal Arts in my undergraduate program. I am a content curator and proof-reader, so I can help you in these fields as well. You can contact me for translation and interpretation. I am interested in learning languages and understanding different cultures. I like to try different cuisine. I am also a tour and travel enthusiast.

我的教學經歷

I am very passionate about teaching languages. My method of teaching Hindi and English is easy and comprehensive. I keep my lessons flexible depending on the student's interest and requirements. I keep my timings flexible for those on the other side of the globe. My students' desired level of fluency becomes my goal in classes. I usually focus a lot on grammatical skills. I am interested in teaching grammar in both languages. I am interested in teaching students preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, OOPT, SAT, PTE. You can also contact me for translation and interpretation (in Hindi or English).

我的課程內容與教學風格

I focus on engaging in easy conversations with my students about topics of their interest and requirement. I make my students practice their speaking skills more in classes. Understanding the student's level and pace of learning helps me design the lessons for them. I focus on enriching students' vocabulary, improving their diction, and helping them in achieving the level of fluency they want. I use PowerPoint presentations to enrich the vocabulary. I suggest short video clips to my students to improve their diction. I also use images and visuals, short paragraphs, and give short homework assignments. Thanks a lot!

Shalini introduced me to contemporary hindi poetry today and it was amazing. the poem she chose was of course more difficult to read that textbook dialogues and articles but it suited my level : I learnt many new words while still being able to make sense of it with her help. More importantly, it inspired me to read others. is kavita ke lie aapko bahut dhanyavaad. mere lie yah ek badhiya anubhav hua!
