In my introduction lesson with Umebara-san, I learned quite a bit about Japanese culture, a brief history of Umebara-san’s studies in Japan as well as her history with the Japanese language. She has already given me recommendations about learning the language and has taught me a very simple phrase to think about for next lesson. I will definitely continue my studies with her.

Teacher was patient and speaks clearly. Materials used were helpful and creative.

I’m sure she is an excellent teacher. However, she was not teaching Japanese to native English speakers at the time and I was unable to cancel the lesson.
