Hello, I'm Celine, a Cantonese who live in Hong Kong. I have been teaching Mandarin in a local language institution for three years now, mainly to provide foreign adult students face-to-face one-on-one, or group courses, students from beginners to advanced levels. In addition to work and helping to maintain my 9-year-old daughter's academic performance-this is very important in Hong Kong, I like reading and travelling. I also like doing sports, but mainly in my mind. . . . I am a DIY lover. I have a sewing machine and a hand drill. I have a cat, six fishes, a water plant tank and a few Phalaenopsis. Recently I also started to learn how to shoot and edit video, welcome to communicate.

我的教學經歷

I am a professional Mandarin teacher with a scientific background. I obtained the “Advanced Diploma in Teaching Chinese Language(Putonghua) " from School of Continuing and Professional Studies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong(香港中文大学专业进修学院) in 2019. Received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Sun Yat-sen University(中山大学) in 2002. My Putonghua Proficiency Test score is 95.2 points, Grade 1 and Level B. 2018-- now, teach Mandarin/Cantonese in a local language institution in HK. 2018-- now, Work as a part-time primary school homework tutor in a welfare institution in HK. 2020-- now, as a professional Mandarin teacher at italki, teach students of all levels and all ages.

我的課程內容與教學風格

I am very patient and gentle with students. One of my face-to-face students says that I am nice but tough. I think this is my basic teaching style. Of course you can ask me not to be strict～ Learning a new language is not an easy task. Even if I am trying to make it easy, it still requires a lot of effort. I currently provide customized general Chinese courses, which means that the specific teaching arrangements are mainly determined according to the students' goals and language proficiency. Including courses for children and adults, courses for beginners to advanced. You can specify your own textbook, or I can suggest study materials. 同时，我还提供普通话水平测试指导课程，帮助学生提升普测分数。

Celine is patient and kind. My daughter was very shy at first but Celine encouraged her to speak. I felt she understood my daughter's feelings and adapted her lesson accordingly.
