Hi there! I am Sopheak, from Cambodia. I come from the countryside, but currently I live in Phnom Penh, its capital, working in the film industry as an Assistant Director and Film Fixer. My hobbies are exploring the world, eating all kinds of fruits (specially durian!), learning new things, singing, cosmetics and making friends, both local and foreign. Because Cambodia is a popular destination for tourists and expats, I have lots of friends from all over the world: Spain, France, the US and Thailand.

我的教學經歷

I've been teaching Khmer to foreigners who visit my country since 2011. They all love learning Khmer but regret that, after they are back in their countries, they don't have anyone to keep learning or practice with and forget the language. That's why I made this class to help people who already speak Khmer practice and improve it through conversation.

我的課程內容與教學風格

This class is meant for students who already speak Khmer at a conversational level, either intermediate or advanced, for example, expats or Cambodian citizens who used to live in Cambodia but now live abroad. I will help you practice, strengthen and improve your spoken Khmer through friendly conversations. And upon your request, I will also correct your pronunciation and/or teach you how to say things better. We can talk about anything you like, but I personally recommend Cambodia-related topics, which are my strength: fairy tales, traditions, food, attractive places, nature (plants, farming, etc.), history and people; and also about other things like: pop music, fashion, etc.

We went over some greetings to start. I'm brand new! I did enjoy the lesson. There were a few issues with the connection, but they didn't last long. I'm eager to learn much more with Sopheak!
