Hello!! My name is Desmond and I'm an enthusiastic and charismatic teacher. I have an Engineering background(Masters in Petroleum Engineering). I 'm a sociologist so I'm always up to talk and to have interesting conversations as this supports my researcher's curiosity. In the meantime, I'm working as an English teacher in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania including having kindergarten and ESL classes as well. This profession showed me how interesting and exciting teaching really is. I'm fluent in English, Russian and a little French. I was born in Ghana but my family migrated to the UK when I was 6 years old. I'm also in the current process of learning Swahili!

我的教學經歷

I am a certified English Tutor (TESOL); specifically teaching English to speakers of other Languages. I specialize in IELTS, Business English, Conversational and others. I have also taught science-related subjects at University level where i hold a Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering. I have close to 10 years in both traditional classroom settings and on the internet. I have prepared students for IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, and CAE.

- Business and Professional English. ( Improving Oral Communication in Business settings) - In each lesson, Grammar and Vocabulary building sections are tackled. Topical lessons help students to remember vocabulary, phrases and expressions quite easily. - Audio and video files are played and examined to aid Student's listening, pronunciation and intonation skill development - Modern methods like mind mapping and Ben Franklin exercises for improving accent are incorporated. - I define student's language level and set time-bound goals and actually ACHIEVE them. - English Literature is incorporated to the plan as well as writing sections for Professionals
