I have been a language teacher for more than 20 years, I love to meet people from around the globe and show a bit of my culture. I was born and raised in Mexico, but moved to Canada and lived in Toronto for 5 years. I enjoy to travel and discover this wonderful world. I have visited almost all of my country, Mexico and also I have been to distant places like China, Tailand, Dubai, India, Australia, Costa Rica Europe, Cuba, USA and Canada. I am a mother of 5-year-old boy and my hobbies are cooking and exercise.

I am an experienced English & Spanish teacher. I am passionate about helping people to understand and communicate in Spanish. I personalize the programme to your needs and special requirements. I like to use real-life materials and examples and guide you into lots of practice. I focus on drills and examples, then conversation, listening skills and then writing. I have extensive experience working as a Certified Accountant in large corporations and I have taught Spanish for Business to executives. I know about finance, marketing, accounting, and sales. I have also taught business protocol.

My teaching style is relaxed, friendly, mostly conversational, I focus on communication first, so you feel confident in the new language, then we review grammar, listening and writing. I would like to know your needs and expectations so I can craft a unique program just for you.

Yolanda is an excellent teacher. Even though my level is not very high, she speaks in Spanish throughout the lesson, using new words in context or with visual aids so I understand them, and speaks slowly and clearly. She prepares exercises to practice new vocabulary and speaking.
